It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted an update, so I thought I better do one today in case this baby decides to arrive early. Keenan came at 38 1/2 weeks, so I’m preparing myself for an early arrival.
Things are going well and after a final ultrasound on Tuesday, we were relieved to learn that baby is still head down! It looks like baby weighs about 5 pounds and 10 ounces at this point, so pretty average. I feel good overall, just a little tired, as to be expected these last couple of weeks.
Cravings: Hasn’t changed; still salty and savory foods. Aside from eating truffle popcorn like mad, I’ve recently had a craving for hot cocoa at night, so I’ve been enjoying a cup while catching up on our favorite TV shows.
Eating: Still hungrier than usual, but I’m trying to fill the void with more veggies, instead of too many snacks.
Emotions: Excited, anxious and nervous!
Skin: Continuing to stay mostly clear.
Weight gain: 37 pounds to date, which I still can’t believe! I’ve gained 10 more pounds with this baby than I did with Keenan, yikes!
Workouts: Still doing CrossFit regularly while taking daily walks, since rowing is even starting to feel uncomfortable.
Wedding Ring on or off: Off
Sleep: Sleeping well, despite waking up one or two times a night. Luckily, I have been able to go right back to sleep.
Before I go, don’t forget to enter a chance to win a jar of almond butter from Paleo Sweet Tooth! Giveaway ends Monday, Feb. 10th! To enter, click here.
Questions:
What is your favorite winter beverage to drink while snuggling on the couch or in front of the fireplace?
If you have been pregnant before, how much weight did you gain with your pregnancy/pregnancies?
You look great – love the boots!!!
So exciting that you could have your little one anytime now!!
I gained 40 pounds with my first pregnancy and then 30 my 2nd time. The 2nd one is misleading though because he came 6 weeks early and the first pregnancy those last 6 weeks were when I gained the most!!!
Can’t wait to “meet” your new baby!
Thank you! I feel better knowing that I’m not the only one who gained 40 pounds, as I’m sure it will be 40 once the baby arrives!
You look SO good; way to keep up the CrossFit! How exciting that baby is coming soon!!!
My favorite winter beverage (or all-time beverage) is coffee with a Tablespoon of chia mix in it 🙂
With my son, I gained 20 lbs. but he also arrived 5 weeks early. I’m hoping I would have gained more weight, if I would have carried him longer. For future babies, I’m guessing it will be a lot more!
Thank you!! Coffee with chia mix sounds interesting. Do you just add chia or is it a certain mix?
You’re almost there! Very exciting. My fave drink by the fire is hot apple cider. I just can’t get enough right now! (I also couldn’t get enough apples when I was preggers!)
Ooh, apple cider sounds good! I haven’t had that in such a long time! I might have to make some this weekend! 🙂
You look awesome! So close to having that adorable little bundle in your arms! So exciting!
My favorite warm drink(which I have right now with me as I type) is a cup of peppermint tea. I pretty much drink it all day long!
Thank you! I still can’t believe it can be any day now! I just love the smell of peppermint tea!
It’s getting close! How exciting. I carried my daughter up until 41 weeks and gained about 40’pounds.
My favorite warm beverage this winter has been earl grey tea with honey.
We are excited!! I love tea with honey!
I didn’t gain a whole lot but I have no idea how much. I was bigger to begin with back then though. I made my doctor not tell me what I weighed the whole time and he knew about my eating disorder past so he didn’t say a word about my weight. That was the best thing I did!
Nice! I think not knowing would be better because I wouldn’t be stressing over a number!
Can’t wait to meet the new addition!
Hopefully soon!
Almost there!!!! You look great, I’m so excited for you!!
I gained 37 lbs in my pregnancy & gave birth at 39 weeks.
Good luck, mama!!
Thanks! We are so thrilled to have our little girl!
