Look who arrived at our house again? Keenan was so excited to find “Peanut” this morning, but he kept asking when she was going to clean up the chocolate on her face. He even put a rag (the ones I use to wipe Mirella’s face after she eats) next to her so “Peanut” could wipe her face!
We had a marvelous holiday weekend with family, but as always, time flies by when you are having fun. My brother and his family flew in late Wednesday night and left early yesterday morning. It was the first time my brother was with us for Thanksgiving in over 10 years and it was so nice to have everyone together, especially since they won’t be here for Christmas. Keenan and Mirella had a blast playing with their cousins and it was so much fun watching them all together.
For today’s Marvelous In My Monday, here are some of the marvelous moments and eats we had over the long weekend…
The cousins having fun together. Mirella and my niece are only a year a part, so I’m sure they will become best buddies as they get older!
A visit to our local firehouse with Nonna and Avo sporting my dad’s alumni gear for their annual Christmas picture.
My mom’s awesome fruit turkey!
My cream cheese pumpkin bread that I made on Thanksgiving morning and my dutch crunch apple pie that I baked yesterday!
Questions:
What was marvelous about your long weekend?
Did you bake or cook anything new over the weekend?
The Elf on the Shelf is back in our house too! Ayden was SO excited to wake up and find that had made a special breakfast. I had to plan out a calendar with each day’s Elf “trick” so I’d remember to do it! Ha! Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving. Yummy too!
Nice! Yes, I planned out a calendar, too, or else I know I would forget!
Hahaha Keenan is such a funny little guy. Looks like you’ve raised him w/ good manners. =D
He is definitely funny these days! I have to remember to write everything down, because he says the funniest things!
So fun to spend time with cousins!!!
Love the fruit turkey – very creative.
