Happy Monday!
I’m so sorry I have been absent the past couple of weeks. With living at my parents’ the first week that we moved (since we weren’t able to live in our house), finally moving in last Monday, unpacking and adjusting to a new home and routine, things have been crazy to say the least! Also, my brother, sister-in-law and nieces flew in last Tuesday, so we have been enjoying spending time with them while finding time to unpack and settle in. With so many things to do, I haven’t had much energy to turn on my computer, let alone write a post, but I have missed you all in the blog world! I’m hoping to get back to my usual schedule of posts this week, as things seem to be getting back to normal.
After a very productive weekend unpacking, I’m finally feeling more settled and somewhat back to our normal routine, though I still need to find time to fit in my workouts. I’m having withdrawals of not doing CrossFit the past two weeks! Every time I think of doing a WOD, I feel guilty about all of the boxes staring at me just waiting to be unpacked! Ugh…I can’t wait until everything is unpacked and we can truly start “living” in our house! But, as I have said before, it’s all about making the time to exercise, so I’m listening to my own advice and scheduling my WODs for the week, doing them while Keenan naps. Since we don’t have our garage gym built yet, I’ll be doing my WODs outside with gymnastic based movements and using minimal equipment, except for my kettle bell, jump rope and abmat. I’ll keep you posted on how they go!
Since this past weekend was so marvelous with everything that we got done, I’m linking up with Katie for Marvelous In My Monday. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve linked up, but I always love her fun link up party. If you haven’t checked out her blog, you have to see her adorable little guy, Rocco! He is so precious.
Marvelous is….
Going from this (when we first moved)…
to this (I feel SO much better after getting the majority of our house unpacked over the weekend)!
Having a relaxing 4th of July spending it with family at my parents’ house.
Watching my niece and Keenan have so much fun singing while they were swinging!
Taking a quick picture of the cousins!
My dad making homemade peanut butter ice cream (a family tradition for the 4th) and Keenan and my niece helping!
Getting first taste of the ice cream!
Introducing Keenan to a few fireworks and sparklers, thanks to Uncle E. By the way, Keenan is fascinated with fireworks and couldn’t stop talking about them for two days!
Getting ready to head to the beach the end of this week with my family (I’m SO ready for a vacation!)!
Oh and before I forget, I’m SUPER excited about an awesome giveaway I’m hosting in honor of my blog’s one year anniversary! I’ll be announcing it soon, so stay tuned!
Have a good one!

The beach sounds lovely!! And what a great job unpacking . . . you’ll be all settled in before you know it. 🙂
I’m SO ready for a vacation after moving! It is amazing how exhausting moving and unpacking can be!
So glad to hear you’re making progress on getting everything moved in! It’s been so long since we’ve moved I’m sure it will be a HUGE task! Looks like a wonderful fourth of July! Love the pool pic of Keenan! He looks so relaxed!
Thank you! I’m finally feeling more at ease and at home, since we got so much unpacking done. I definitely don’t want to move for a very long time. It is a horrendous task with a toddler!
The homemade peanut butter ice cream looks nice and delicious. Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures!
Looks like such a wonderful time with family!!! So glad you are getting everything settled 🙂
Thanks, we are having a lot of fun! I’m so relieved we are almost done with unpacking all of our boxes!
I would love to be at the beach right now. A short 2 weeks until we will be! Your pictures are amazing 🙂
Thank you! I know, it can’t come fast enough! After moving, we are all in desperate need of a vacation!
I get it! We’re at my parent’s now, getting ready for the big transition and unpacking soon. Glad you’re starting to see the end of boxes!!
I hope your move went smoothly! Isn’t it chaotic, especially with a toddler? I hope you get unpacked and settled in soon!
what?!?!?…homemade icecream…delish
My mom makes the best homemade ice cream. It is so rich and full of fat, but oh, so good!
I was just about to say the photo of Kennan hanging out in the pool is probably my favorite yet one… that was until I kept scrolling down. He’s such a little cutie pie!
Thank you, Jessie!
I can completely relate to that settling in thing. Packing in itself is already a daunting task; unpacking is even more exhausting! So don’t be guilty about those days you missed working out ‘cause I bet you can count unpacking those boxes one. By the way, that homemade peanut butter ice cream looks delicious! Would you mind sharing the recipe? Thanks!
The recipe will coming soon! Thanks!
