Happy Friday! I’m SO glad it is the weekend! Though we have a busy couple of days ahead of us with attending the career fair at my old high school today and doing some things for our new house, it will be nice to spend some time with my parents and fit in a little play time by the pool! The weather has been gorgeous, so I can’t wait to take Keenan swimming! Also, I am looking forward to a little pampering on Saturday with a nice facial that my mom gave me awhile ago for my birthday!
Also, I’m even more excited today because Keenan made another poop in the potty last night! I was training my client at the time, so I wasn’t there to see it, unfortunately. My husband said Keenan called for him, telling him that he needed to make a poopie and after sitting on the potty for a couple of minutes, he went all by himself! Slowly but surely, he is FINALLY starting to get it, whoo-hoo!!
Okay enough potty talk, it’s time for our weekly Friday Favorites link up! If you are new here, every Friday is a chance to reflect back on the week and cherish some of your favorite moments and eats. I hope you will join me and link up with some of your favorites!

Recipes look delicious! And oh the potty training days, I don’t miss those one bit. I had one who would just take off his dirty undies and stash them in his closet so I wouldn’t know he couldn’t be bothered…he was trained at that point obviously. Ugh. Nope, can’t say I miss those days at all! Congrats to Keenan for being on his way!
Thanks! Wow, I can’t even imagine finding dirty diapers in Keenan’s closet! It will be nice to be done with this whole potty training thing!
Congrats on the potty training! That is awesome! 🙂
Thank you!! We are excited!
I’ve been loving asparagus, too! Love that it’s available and inexpensive right now. Here’s how we enjoyed it this week: http://eatmovebalance.com/fridays-five-morel-mushrooms/
Yes, me, too! I look forward to adding asparagus to our grocery list every week. I just can’t get enough of it! I love that you added it to your spaghetti squash bake and with the morels, too! It looks so good!
Potty training is a big step! Congrats for making it. Your babies are beautiful!
Thank you!!
Yay Keenan! He’ll be there before you know it!
Love that he’s not afraid to pick up bugs. Ayden freaks out over every little bug lately. Along with puppets, stuffed animals, birds, animals… just a little scaredy cat lately! I LOVE baby kale! We get the big bag from Costco and I’m obsessed with it! So much better in salads than regular kale. At least in my opinion 🙂
Yes, I hope so! It’s funny you say that Ayden is scared of bugs, puppets and stuffed animals. Keenan went through a phase about 6 months ago where he was easily afraid of those things, too. I don’t know what changed, but now he has no fear (which isn’t exactly good when it comes to bugs!).
Your little guy is so cute! I’m glad that he’s getting potty training…I remember a friend of ours once looking at his son and saying “Kid, if you’re smart enough to download something on my iPhone without me knowing, you’re smart enough to poop in the toilet.”
Now on to food! 🙂
I absolutely love baby kale = the best salads ever. 🙂
I’ve never tried strawberries and avocado….sounds delish!
Thanks for this post!

Haha, I love what your friend said! It is so true!
Strawberries with avocado is the best! You should try them!
Yay for potty progress!! Hope you have a great weekend… especially enjoy the pampering, I could use that right now, after a crazy week. 🙂
Thanks, I’m exited that Keenan is continuing to stick with it and make progress with going number two! Underwear is so much better than diapers! I hope you had a great weekend, too!
Sounds like Keenen is growing up! I do have a tendency to have my potty trained granddaughter more over than the others. I don’t know if that’s true for other grandparents but it is or me. I love how excited he looks in his new bed.
The roasted asparagus looks wonderful!

Thanks! Yes, Keenan is definitely growing up. I’m happy and sad at the same time. I guess I didn’t expect things to happen all it once with the transition to a real bed and the potty training, but I’m excited to done with diapers!
Aww, congratulations n the potty training. Keenan is becoming such a big boy!! Enjoy your pampering session bc hunnie, you deserve every minute of it <3
Thank you, Jessie!!
