TGIF! After a busy couple of days, I’m looking forward to the holiday weekend, especially tonight, since my husband and I have a date night planned for Revolution Wines (thanks to Groupon)! We haven’t had a date night out in a couple of months, so I’m really looking forward to it! Tomorrow, we are celebrating my father-in-law’s birthday with the Tour de Cluck, a bike ride through Davis (with lots of other activities along the way) to raise funds for the Yolo Farm to Fork’s Davis Farm to School program and the Davis Art Center. It should be fun!
First things first, my heart goes out to all of the folks in Oklahoma. I can’t imagine what they are going through right now, and I’m keeping them all in my prayers. To help the victims, my favorite snack/nutrition bar company, KiZE Concepts, is matching any orders placed using the code: “love moore” to send to them and all of the workers. You can purchase directly on their site! KiZE is not only donating their bars, but they are also volunteering their time to help with the clean-up.
Anyhow, since I’m coaching back-to back CrossFit classes all morning, I’m going to keep today’s Friday Favorites post short, but sweet. If you are new here, every Friday is a time to reflect back on the week and cherish some of your favorite moments and eats. I hope you will join me and link up below!
Favorite Moments:
– Visiting the buoys outside of New Orleans and seeing all of the alligators staring at us, waiting for their next meal.
– Keenan saying, “I love you, Mommy,” as I put him to bed the night I got back from NOLA.
– Keenan bringing his favorite books into the bathroom and reading ALL of them while going potty!
Favorite Eats:
– Spaghetti Squash Burrito Bowl
– A leftover (frozen) Kid-Friendly Paleo Nutty Banana Bread Muffin with a dollop of almond butter and blueberries for breakfast
Have a great holiday weekend!
It is YOUR turn: Link up your favorite moments and eats from this week, or share some of them below in the comments!
I almost bought that groupon! You’ll have to let me know how it is. Sounds yummy! Ayden used to love reading on the potty too! Lately he seems to have more important things to do than sit on the potty and literally waits until the last second then is in and out as fast as he can. Busy boys! Hope you have a great weekend!
Yes, busy boys they certainly are! Have a great weekend, too!
Ha! Twenty minutes on the potty reading . . . too cute. Enjoy the date night groupon . . . let us know if you have any fabulous wines! 🙂
He was pretty focused and serious about his reading; it was too cute! I’ll definitely let you know if we discover any new wines!
Have a great date night! Also, that potty picture is quite possibly the cutest thing I’ll see today.
Thank you!!
Hey…Found your blog through Reness @fitformotherhood and I love it. I think Friday Favorites is fabulous and I will try to link up a Friday Favorites post tonight.
My little one is 2 1/2 now and the potty is of course our biggest challenge these days and he does the same things with his books on the potty. Being a HUGE book lover, I think this is fabulous and it’s just precious to watch. They grow up SO fast!
Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to visiting your blog!
I agree with you, it’s so cute to see Keenan read on his potty! I love this age and I wish I could keep him like this forever! 🙂
OMG! That food looks delicious!
New follower from Nanny to Mommy Thumping Thursdays! Hope you’ll join me for Fitness Fridays.
Thank you and thanks for stopping by! I’ll definitely check out Fitness Friday!
Yay! I’ve been meaning to order some of the Kize bars to try out and now I have a great excuse to order.
Tried out a CrossFit intro class today and we are excited to keep going to see how we do. The intro class was mostly explanations and proper form education but we did a small workout at the end. I’m just glad that we have been already working out regularly otherwise I think it would be much harder. Can’t wait to see our progress. =)
Congrats on your first class! I’m glad you guys liked it. I look forward to hearing more about it!
Ha Ha, I cannot wait until Keenan is much older & looks back at all these adorable photos you’ve posted 🙂 🙂
I know! I wonder what he will think! 🙂
