It is our second week playing Just Dance 4 and our little “Mommy-Son Doo Wop” is having a blast! I’ve even got my husband dancing with us! Keenan has actually been asking me when we can “do the dance game,” so I know he is definitely enjoying it. Though, I think he has more fun just holding the remote and watching the dancers on the screen!
Since last week was our first week playing the game, we were still learning how to navigate our way through. This week, I tried the dance workout portion and I have to say I was quite impressed. You can choose 10, 25 or 45 minute dance sessions, depending on how much time you have and how much of a workout you want. All of the workouts use some of the dances from the regular dance part, but it is in a typical workout class format: warm-up, workout and cool down. After doing one 25 minute session, my heart rate was up and I was definitely sweating, especially with my lovely dance skills! The 25 minute session was just right, but I added a couple rounds of squats and push ups after I finished to make it complete. It was a good light-to-moderate intensity cardio workout.
Here is how things went this week (please excuse my awesome frantic dancing!)…
I apologize for the mix-up on the video. We did did both the Latin and the aerobics dance workouts that day and I thought my husband recorded us doing the Latin, but he only got the aerobics part, oops!
Now that I’m 15 weeks pregnant, my belly has definitely popped. I have an appointment with my midwife today, so we’ll see how much weight I have gained. For the first 11 weeks, I gained five pounds. I’m anxious to see how much more weight I’ve gained since I’ve been doing CrossFit four times a week and adding in a couple dance sessions. I feel great and my fitness level seems to remain fairly high (with in reason since I can’t workout to the intensity level that I used to).
If you want to see how my fellow team members are doing, especially since they are tracking actual metrics of weight loss, body fat loss, etc., make sure to check out the Just Sweat Dream Team board.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned over the next couple of months for more dancing updates and posts!

I love that keenan went from camera shy in the beginning to loving the camera @ the end. Too cute!
I know, he is becoming quite the little ham!
