Happy Monday! Since I’m on vacation with my family, I thought it would be fun to kick of the week with a review and giveaway of some of the best snack/energy/protein/meal replacement bars I have ever eaten! I know I have talked about protein, nutrition and snack bars in the past, but I have to say the KiZE Bars are truly unique and one-of-a-kind.
After hearing about KiZE Bars from my CrossFit coach, I contacted them to see if they would send any samples my way. Jeff Ragan, one of the founders of the company, gladly sent a sample of each of their bars (cocoa, peanut butter, pumpkin seed, vanilla almond and cinnamon raisin). I was so excited to receive them, that as soon as they arrived, I quickly opened the peanut butter bar (of course!) and had a few pieces for a snack prior to CrossFit. The peanut butter flavor was nice and rich, tasting like roasted peanuts, and the texture was soft and chewy. It was the perfect snack for providing a little energy and protein prior to my CrossFit WOD.
Each day I sampled another bar and I was not disappointed, even my husband was excited about these bars (he is a big skeptic when it comes to nutrition bars)! I loved all of the bars equally, but the cocoa was probably my least favorite, but it was still good. I especially like that all of the bars contain between four to six simple ingredients, which are: Peanut butter, raw sage honey, gluten free rolled oats, pure whey protein isolate and whichever natural flavoring depending on the bar, i.e. cocoa powder, pumpkin seeds, almonds, vanilla, cinnamon or raisins. Each bar contains three servings, and each one is about 160 calories, 8 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber and 7 grams of sugar. You can easily eat one serving of the bar for a quick, healthy snack when you are out and about, prior to working out or after your workout. If you are really in a pinch, you can eat the entire bar for a meal replacement, which gives you 24 grams of protein and only costs you 480 calories!
I love that the bars contain whole ingredients, nothing processed, so if you are like me and eat mostly whole foods and little to no processed foods, KiZE Bars are the perfect, convenient whole foods snack! I was actually quite sad when I polished off my last bar. I definitely want to get more, because they were just too good!
In addition to providing such a great product, I appreciate the concept and mission behind KiZE. They support a healthy lifestyle and helping people live a better, happier and healthier life. KiZE Concepts was inspired by Kaizen, the Japanese business philosophy of getting better, rising up and growing into your ideal life one step at a time. Their mission is to help people maximize their success and live a much happier, healthier and more love filled life where they passionately pursue progress in mind, body and soul.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend trying KiZE Bars. They are definitely one-of-a-kind, and a great company to support!
Since KiZE Concepts was so generous, they not only offered to send one lucky reader a sample pack of bars, but they are offering a 10% discount on any products purchased through their store until Friday, April 12th, using the code “fitnwellmommy!”
