Happy Monday and the second day of December already!
I’m sad the long holiday weekend is over because it was nice to be home enjoying some quality family time together since my husband was off for four days. But, I’m also excited for the start of the Christmas season, getting our tree and hanging our outside lights later this week!
Since it’s Monday, I’m joining Katie for her lovely Marvelous In My Monday link up! Be sure to check out her blog, too!
Marvelous is…
Hosting Thanksgiving at our house with all of our family.
The delicious turkey that my husband cooked!
Keenan enjoying his turkey leg! He had requested the leg a whole week before Thanksgiving!
Decorating for Christmas while listening to Christmas music!
The arrival of “Peanut” (the name Keenan chose for her last year). This is our second year doing the Elf on the Shelf tradition. Keenan was super excited to wake up and find her reading the story yesterday morning.
Getting our family/maternity photos back! We had so much fun taking them a few weeks ago and I can’t wait see them on our Christmas card!
That’s it for today! It’s time to fit in a workout before our Church Christmas pageant practice. I forgot to mention that my mom and I are co-leading/directing it this year. My mom use to do it for several years when I was a child, so I’m learning the ropes to take it over!
Questions:
How was your Thanksgiving?
Have you decorated for Christmas (for those who celebrate it)? If so, do you cut down a tree or get one off a lot?
What are you looking forward to the most this holiday season?
Oh – I saw the title of your post and thought “I didn’t think she was due yet!!” I thought maybe you had the sweet new baby – not the elf!
Keenan is cute eating his turkey leg.
Haha, too funny! A couple more months before this little peanut arrives!
LOVE the pictures! Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving! So fun you got to host in your new home. I’m so anxious to bring the Elf on the Shelf out but we are waiting until we move into the new house. Hopefully this weekend!
Thank you! Good luck with the move!!
This has to be by far my favorite Marvelous in my Monday post you’ve written. All the love, joy, smiles, and cuteness (Keenan) just brightened my whole morning. The photo of Keenan & his Turkey leg is adorable – especially for the fact that it’s almost bigger than his head Ha Ha. Your maternity photos look like they just came straight out of a magazine. Absolutely stunning!
Thanks, Jessie! You are so sweet. Yes, the turkey leg was pretty much bigger than Keenan’s head and he practically ate the whole thing!
Ahh I can’t get over the cuteness of your preggo pics. You looks great!
Thanks so much!
What a wonderful family you have. It is so nice to see everyone together for Thanksgiving. Keenan is so cute with his turkey leg! I work with the children of our church for Christmas Eve also. With all the stress of preparing for Christmas, my favorite part of Christmas has become the Christmas Eve service with all of “my children”. Their smiling faces make my heart sore as we experience the true meaning of Christmas together. Enjoy your time with the children of your church. That is so neat that your mother is able to teach you the ropes.
We just started rehearsals this past week and it has been fun! The kids are all so cute! I look forward to Keenan being a part of it next year and continuing to lead it just as my mom did.
I am looking forward to all the family time we get together during the holidays!
PS. Your pics turned out awesome
Yes, me too! Thank you!
I loved all the pictures and yes, it was a wonderful Thanksgiving, thanks to your and Drew and Keenan.
I loved your blog the other day about being a mom and keeping your identity….Gosh you sound familiar!
Love,
Nonna

Thank you!
That turkey leg picture is adorable. And you maternity pictures turned out so well!!
Thanks, Laura!
