I can’t believe Mirella turned 10 months old this past Wednesday! I always say this, but seriously, can I freeze time? This year has gone by WAY too fast for my liking and I’m not ready for my little girl to grow up. She eats everything these days, gets around by sliding backwards on her belly and is ready to crawl any day. I want to keep her this little forever.

10 months old

Anyhow, I’m very happy with where I am at with my progress this month. I’m almost back to my pre-pregnancy shape (though, my tummy will probably never be the same, thanks to the lovely diastasis!). Though I did not lose any more weight this month, I’m okay with it. As long as I continue to nurse (which I plan to do past a year), my body is probably going to hold onto those last couple of pounds. Either way, I am very pleased with my body and fitness level. My endurance is high and I’m slowly achieving new PRs with my lifts. I feel leaner, stronger and overall, more toned. Those double wods twice a week are paying off!

As for my training, I’m continuing to do CrossFit five times a week, with at least two “double days” (two workouts in a day). Since it has been raining a lot, I haven’t had a chance to take Keenan to preschool by jogging him and Mirella in our BOB stroller to add in some additional exercise. Once we have some clear days, I hope to be back at it.

I haven’t changed my eating. I eat three times a day with meals rich in protein, fresh produce, healthy fats and the occasional whole grain (like my blueberry barley breakfast bowl that I can’t get enough of at the moment!). I have a snack in the afternoon, usually my microwave chocolate peanut butter protein mug brownie or some roasted almonds to get me through the afternoon. I still enjoy a glass of wine (or two!) or a dark beer in the evening after the kids are in bed for a little nightcap while catching up with my husband. Also, I’m still nursing Mirella five times a day, and some days I’m definitely hungrier than others, which I assume are due to nursing. All, in all, things are going well.
