Look who turned 11 months over the weekend! How cute is she?
This year has gone by WAY too fast for my liking. I’m already in denial that Mirella will be one year old next month and I’ll have a toddler soon! She is definitely on the move these days, crawling everywhere and exploring everything. She loves to shake her head “no” no matter what you ask and she is always full of smiles!
Anyhow, I can’t believe it has almost been a year since I was pregnant. I’m happy to say I feel great with my body and where I am at with my progress. I feel that I’m back to my pre-pregnancy shape and fitness level, though I’m still two pounds shy of my pre-pregnancy weight. Since I’m still nursing Mirella 4-5 times a day, I’ve come to the conclusion that those last two pounds are probably not going to budge until I stop (though, all of the holiday goodies probably didn’t help much!).
I’m satisfied with my tummy, as I know it will never look as flat as it was before I had kids, thanks to my lovely diastasis, and I’m okay with that! My body made two babies and gave birth to them, so I don’t expect every part of it to go back to where it was prior to having children.
I feel strong in all of my workouts as I continue to do CrossFit five times a week with two “double days” mixed in. I look forward to getting stronger and continuing to increase my endurance. I love pushing myself each day to get better.
I’m still eating the same, though a lot less sweets now that the holidays have passed! I certainly did my share of indulging in my mom’s infamous candy and fudge (thank goodness she only makes them once a year!). My husband and I have also become a little lazy with our nightly glass of wine or beer, so I’m cutting that back to no more than one glass of wine or one beer per night during the week. In the past few weeks we would settle in to catch-up on our favorite TV shows after the kids went to bed and one glass of wine would always lead to another! By reducing my wine and/or beer consumption each night, I’m hoping it will help shave off those last two pounds.
So, here are my stats…
Current weight: 120 (no weight loss again this month)
10 Months Postpartum weight: 120
Final pregnancy weight: 156
Pre-pregnancy weight: 118
Questions:
How long did it take you to get back to your pre-pregnancy shape and fitness level after having kids?
What is your nightly night-cap or sweet treat after your kids are in bed?
My nightly treat is either wine or some other cocktail but it is before my boys go to bed now that they are older and we tend to go to bed at the some time!!!
You look amazing!!
And Mirella is so cute!
Give yourself a break! You look awesome and it’s only two pounds! I hung onto a good 8-10 pounds forever! Enjoy that glass of wine or two. You deserve it!
She is adorable, I love the outfit!
Thank you!
