It’s been a while since I’ve done a typical day in the life post of all of meals because honestly, I just keep forgetting to take pictures of my food! For today’s What I Ate Wednesday, I finally remembered to take pictures of most of my meals on Monday, since we were out of town for my birthday yesterday (my awesome husband surprised me with a day of shopping at my two favorite stores…Athleta and Nordstrom!).
So, here’s a typical day in my life…
5:30 a.m. woke up, got dressed in my workout clothes and ate half of a banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter that I forgot to take a picture of (I wasn’t fully awake to remember!).
6:00 – 7:00 a.m. worked out in my garage gym.
7:00 – 7:15 a.m. took my Juice Plus and prepped breakfast before Keenan and Mirella woke up.
7:15 – 7:30 a.m. Keenan woke up and I helped him make his bed and get dressed.
7:30 – 7:50 a.m. Mirella woke up. I changed and nursed her.
7:50 – 8:10 a.m. ate breakfast (Overnight Protein Oats and a cup of coffee with a couple teaspoons of half and half) with Keenan while feeding Mirella her oatmeal mixed with some banana and breast milk.
8:10 – 8:20 a.m. pumped and did the dishes.
8: 20 – 8:53 a.m. changed and dressed Mirella and got ready.
8:54 – 9:00 a.m. took Keenan to preschool jogging with the BOB stroller (Mirella in the infant seat attachment and Keenan sitting on the front.
9: 00 – 9:08 a.m. signed Keenan in, got him situated and said goodbye.
9:08 – 9:15 a.m. jogged home with Mirella.
9:15 – 9:25 a.m. put Mirella down for her morning nap.
9:25 – 9:30 am. prepped for personal training client.
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. trained client (and did her wod with her).
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. drank about 24 oz of water, ate a few vanilla almonds and enjoyed my second cup of coffee while checking emails and blogging.
11:00 – 11:15 a.m. washed up, changed clothes and got ready for the day.
11:15 – 11:25 a.m. got Mirella up, changed and nursed her.
11:25 – 11:30 a.m. picked up Keenan from preschool
11:30-12:30 a.m. made and ate lunch (leftover Spaghetti Squash Pasta Bake that I forgot to take a picture of!) while also feeding Mirella her lunch of homemade butternut squash puree with a little quinoa and some banana.
12: 30 – 12:45 p.m. changed, nursed and put Mirella down for her afternoon nap.
12:45 – 1:00 p.m. read Keenan a story and put him down for quiet time/nap (even if he doesn’t sleep, he has to have an hour of quiet time reading in his bed).
1:00 – 1:15 p.m. cleaned up the kitchen
1:15 – 1:45 p.m. prepped dinner
1:45 – 3:00 p.m. blogged, checked email and returned phone calls
3:00 – 3:30 p.m. got Keenan up from quiet time (he didn’t sleep) and ate our snack together (last pumpkin chocolate chip oat bar that I made for Halloween).
3:30 – 3:45 p.m. got Mirella up, nursed and changed her.
3:45 – 5:30 p.m. played outside with Keenan and Mirella.
5:30 – 6:00 p.m. finished dinner and nursed Mirella.
6:00 – 6:30 p.m. ate dinner (roasted broccoli, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms with sausage, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and feta cheese over barley) as a family and fed Mirella more butternut squash and some avocado.
6:30 – 7:00 p.m. bathed and read stories to Keenan and Mirella.
7:00 – 7:15 p.m. kissed Keenan goodnight while my husband but him to bed and then nursed and put Mirella to bed.
7:15 – 7:30 p.m. prepped for personal training client
7:30 – 8:15 p.m. trained personal training client
8:15 – 8:45 p.m took a shower and got ready for bed
8:45 – 9:00 p.m. read until I fell asleep!

Good job on getting to bed so early! I’ve been trying to get into bed to read around 9:00 lately but I’ve had so little time during the day to catch up on blog reading that evening time is my only chance to do that. BUT… sleeps much more important 🙂
Yes, I used to stay up blogging, but I just can’t stay up late anymore. I’m way too exhausted throughout the day and there is not enough coffee to keep me going! 🙂
After a long day like that, i’d be ready to curl up in bed & pass out!! I don’t remember if I told you or not, but happy (belated) birthday. Sounds like you had a wonderful day w/ your family. So sweet of your hubby to treat you to some shopping.
One thing i’ve eaten today: A microwave pumpkin pie cake topped w/ cinnamon bun coconut butter, 1/2 banana, 1/2 box raisins & some hemp hearts

One thing I am GOING to eat today is a chicken and avocado sandwich. The chicken is currently baking in the oven and I can’t wait!!! I have been craving avocado lately and finally picked some up.
