Another week down and I’m 34 weeks already! I know I say this often, but seriously, time is flying by! At least, I’m happy to report that we made great progress on the baby’s room. Now, it’s just organizing the closet, removing boxes and decorating. I’m definitely nesting, because as we are working on the baby’s room, I’ve been thinking about other aspects of our house that need re-organizing (after the room is finished of course)! My husband has also been working hard every evening to build shelves in our office and garage so we can finally organize the last bit of stuff from our move. Slowly, but surel, we are getting things done and hopefully all before our little one arrives!
I’m still battling sciatica and seeing my chiropractor regularly, which has helped tremendously. My next prenatal appointment is tomorrow, so I’m not sure if the baby has turned. I’ve been doing my daily inversion exercises and praying that they turned, so I’ll keep you all posted tomorrow!
Cravings: Same as before, salty, savory foods with an occasional sweet. I’m still eating peanut butter filled pretzels like they are going out of style and I’ve been enjoying the last of the gingerbread (since we had so much dough leftover from the holidays!).
Eating: My appetite has definitely increased for some odd reason.
Emotions: Anxious and worried about the baby turning.
Skin: Continuing to stay mostly clear, thank goodness!
Weight gain: Not quite sure until my appointment tomorrow, but as of two weeks ago, I’ve gained a total of 29 pounds. I’m trying not to think too much of it, as I’ve never been this heavy before.
Workouts: Despite the sciatica, I’m still doing CrossFit four days a week. I’ve adjusted my wods accordingly, so I’m not lifting anything too heavy or bending from the waist to aggravate my back. I’m still planning to workout up until our little one arrives!
Sleep: Becoming less comfortable, thus I’m waking up a couple of times at night, which makes it hard to go back to sleep, ugh!
Questions:
For all of you mommies, did you go through a nesting phase during your pregnancy/pregnancies?
Is it just me or are peanut butter filled pretzels the best snack EVER?
29 pounds – girl you can’t even tell! You look fabulous. Oh & yes pb filled pretzel are addicting & unfort. aren’t sold here in Kuwait 🙁 🙁
Sending many prayers your way that tomorrows appt goes well.
Thanks, Jessie; you are so sweet! PB filled pretzels are dangerously addicting!
Thanks for the prayers!
You look great and it’s SO awesome that you are still working out! During my last pregnancy, I wore a maternity support belt that helped a ton with hip discomfort while I was running. Is that something that would help for CrossFit WODs? They don’t allow for much bending mobility and that would probably not be good for lifting weights :s For running and walking, that maternity belt did wonders for me!
And peanut butter-filled pretzels are delicious even when you’re not pregnant! I loved salty anything when I was pregnant 🙂
I’ve heard of maternity support belts. I should have looked into it sooner, as it definitely could have helped. I’ll have to remember it for next time! 🙂 Yes, salty foods are my sweets right now!
Well I am 2 weeks behind you, but I am nesting like crazy!! I think I’m probably about to drive my poor husband mad because I keep giving him the heavy jobs during the reorganizing process, but it’s just like it HAS to be done and it HAS to be done NOW!! Hormones are so wonderful 🙂
Haha, I’m the same way! Hormones are definitely wonderful! 🙂
You look amazing! I remember stressing so much about how much weight I was gaining. As long as you’re healthy that’s all that matters and I know you are! Praying baby turns soon!
Thank you! We can use the prayers!!
You look wonderful and don’t even worry about your weight gain. Especially if you’re going to breast feed! I hear with second pregnancies you pop quicker and gain a little more weight. I think you look so cute:) Annnnd, you’re almost there!!
Thanks, Heidi! You definitely show sooner the second time around! I’m trying not to think about my weight and just enjoy these last few weeks!
