I can pass up plain chocolate, but if it’s paired with peanut butter, then it’s all over! Ever since I can remember, I’ve been a HUGE PB-and-chocolate fan. I’ve been known to take a spoonful of peanut butter straight out of the jar and top it with a couple of chocolate chips for a sweet treat every now and then, especially when Aunt Flow arrives!
Keenan and Mirella are big PB and chocolate fans, too (big surprise!). Since PB can be used as a great snack, (especially before and after workouts, or before my kids’ sporting events), I love making these Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bites because they are small, but loaded with a lot of nutrition! I love adding Juice Plus Chocolate or Vanilla Complete shake mix in these bites because it adds plant-based protein, but also a lot of awesome nutrients. I can’t make these fast enough in my house because as soon as my kids and I finish making a batch, 3-4 are already eaten, and then my husband loves to grab a couple when he heads back to work after lunch.
I hope you enjoy these as much as we do!
