Mirella turns one year old tomorrow and I’m still in denial! This past year has gone by crazy fast, and I can only imagine how much faster the years are going to go. I just want to keep her this little forever.

Since she turns one tomorrow, we celebrated her birthday this past Saturday with family and our closest friends.

baby's 1st birthday

It was the perfect party…super relaxed, casual and simple. After going all out for Keenan’s 1st birthday, I wanted to keep things simple and small for Mirella, but with LOTS of pink (pink balloons, flowers and plates, which I completely forgot to take a picture of, ugh!). It was a luncheon, so we served foccacia bread with salami, prosciutto, coppa and cheese to make your mini sandwiches, along with my Grandma Rose’s artichoke torta (which Mirella loves), a green salad with pear, walnut and feta cheese and fresh fruit (another thing I completely forgot to take a picture of!).

1st birthday party

At first Mirella wasn’t too sure of everything and everybody. She had just woken up from her morning nap and was too serious to smile, until Keenan helped to cheer her up!

1st birthday party

Mirella enjoyed playing with her friend!

friends

The birthday cake, a banana nut cake made with half oat and half regular flour (to keep it a tad healthier) with cream cheese layers and frosting)!

1st birthday cake

Mirella inhaled her first piece of cake, so I think she liked it!

baby girl's 1st birthday

Opening gifts(or her brother opening them for her!).

1st birthday party

Since Mirella’s party was so marvelous, I’m also joining Katie for her Marvelous In My Monday today! Have a good one!
