Only one more week and I’m full-term! It’s crazy how fast these last few weeks are going. I’m finally feeling ready now that the baby’s room is pretty much complete (except for hanging up pictures) and our office is cleaned-out and organized. Those two projects have been looming over my head the past few weeks, so it’s a great feeling to have them done. All of the hard work will pay off when we can park ourselves at the beach next week for some much needed relaxation before baby #2 arrives!

36 weeks pregnant

My next prenatal appointment is next Friday when I’m 37 weeks, so I don’t have anything new to report. I’m hoping that baby is still head down, especially since they continue to feel so slow. My sciatica has remained the same, which is good! Even after cleaning house all day yesterday, my lower back and hips are not as sore as they were before!

Cravings: Same as before…salty, savory foods! My newest favorite has been truffle popcorn that my husband and I made the other night. We received a bottle of truffle oil from our good friends for Christmas, so we finally drizzled it on some air-popped popcorn with a sprinkle of sea salt and OMG, it was AMAZING!

Eating: Definitely more hungrier for some reason. I used to eat only a half of a wrap for lunch and this past week, I’ve been hungry for the whole thing!

Emotions: Relieved that the baby’s room and our house projects are done and super excited to relax at the beach next week!

Skin: Continuing to stay mostly clear.

Weight gain: Still 30 pounds, but we will see after next week’s prenatal appointment. I’m hoping I didn’t gain that much more weight!

Workouts: Still doing CrossFit 4 days a week, trying to stay as active as I can, though I’m listening to my body more. I’m definitely getting tired more easily now, so I’m taking more breaks when I need to.

Wedding Ring on or off: Off

Sleep: Frustrating! Waking up due to numb hands and arms is not fun! It’s definitely hard to get comfortable these days!

Questions:

Are you a popcorn fan? If so, how do you like to eat/prepare it?

Have you tried truffle oil?
