Since yesterday was such a busy day running errands for our new house, Keenan and I decided to take it easy this morning. We built a Lego car wash and garage for all of his cars and tractors, baked some delicious Paleo bread using fresh cherries from my family’s farm (that I’m excited to share with you), and stopped by the library to pick out a few books. It was nice to not have to rush out of the house by a certain time!
Anyhow, it’s time to link up with the lovely Jenn at Peas and Crayons for What I Ate Wednesday. If you haven’t already, you should stop by her blog to see all of her yummy eats!
Breakfast:
The usual, No Oat Oatmeal topped with blueberries, raspberries and almond butter with a cup of coffee mixed with a tablespoon of half and half. I know, not very exciting, but SO good!
Lunch:
A HUGE satisfying salad. In the mix: romaine, hard boiled eggs, carrots, cherry tomatoes, avocado, pepperoncinis and slivered almonds tossed with a little olive oil and garlic wine vinegar.
Snack:
A slice of freshly baked Paleo Cherry Almond Bread that Keenan and I made this morning!
Dinner:
Crock Pot Pork and Apples with roasted broccoli, cherry tomatoes, onions and a sprinkle of feta cheese.
That’s it for my eats today!
Questions:
Do you prefer muffins or quick breads?
What is your usual or “go-to” breakfast?
What were some of your eats from today?
I’ve never seen your No Oat Oatmeal, but I’m really intrigued…I think I might have to give that one a try!
It is definitely my favorite breakfast these days, in fact I have it 4-5 days a week. I love to mix it up and add apples and make a cinnamon apple one, or dried blueberries and little more almond milk to make it creamy. If you try it, let me know how you like it!
I used to prefer bread, however lately I’ve been all about muffins. I love that you can eat them whole, or even cut them into 2 and smear w/ whatever topping you choose.
My usual go to breakfasts are always smoothies, and eggs
I hope you continue having a lovely week, Melissa!! <3
I’ve been all about muffins lately, too! I’m with you, I love to cut them in two and put a different topping on each half! Have a great week!
I’m loving cherries lately and my in-laws just brought us a ton so this bread might be happening in our house very soon! I haven’t had pork in years but have been thinking about giving it a try again soon. Maybe a pulled pork to begin with… we’ll see!
We still have some cherries, so I’m thinking of making another batch, since Keenan and my husband loved it so much!
Ooh, pulled pork sounds delicious! I look forward to seeing your recipe!
I have the same breakfast every single day: oat bran cooked with egg whites, almond milk and cinnamon and chia seeds, then I add berries or banana, and top with nut butter. Somehow, it still isn’t old. Maybe because I can modify it to keep the flavors changing just enough..
We are so much alike! I eat No Oat Oatmeal practically every single day, too, and it never seems to get old. Like you, I love to change the flavors up, so I never get bored. One of these days, I have to add in oat bran, because your breakfast sounds so good!
Mmm, that all looks fantastic. I need to check out your paleo bread- L loves baking with me, too!
Thank you! Keenan loved the bread, in fact I think we are going to make another loaf this week!
Everything looks so delicious! I bet that bread is amazing. 🙂
Thank you! It was really good!
