Happy Hump Day!
I hope everyone’s week is going well so far. I’ve been on a role every evening organizing our office, cleaning out drawers and getting rid of cluttering paperwork that has been sitting around for far too long. I guess I’m definitely nesting!
Anyhow, since it’s Wednesday and I actually remembered to take pictures of most of my meals yesterday, I’m joining Jenn for another What I Ate Wednesday!
Here is what I’ve been craving lately at almost 36 weeks pregnant (or at least yesterday, anyways)…
Breakfast:
My everyday favorite these days: a nice warm bowl of oats mixed with chia and flaxseed and topped with Paleo Sweet Tooth honey almond butter (that I can’t seem to get enough of!) and bananas.
Lunch:
A “Mega Wrap” using P28 High Protein Flatbreadย and loading with turkey, spinach, tomatoes, avocado, artichoke hearts, wax peppers and a little yogurt jalapeno dip from Costco with a few leftover broiled zucchinis on the side. For the past few days all I have craved for lunch are wraps!
Snack:
A few of my latest addiction: peanut butter filled pretzels!
Dinner:
Mediterranean Chicken In the Crock Pot over whole wheat noodles and steamed broccoil with a sprinkle of brewers yeast.
Dessert:
Aย Gluten-Freeย Whole Wheat Banana Bar With Cream Cheese Frostingย that went eaten without a picture, sorry!

Haha, thanks, Jessie! I literally have to take the picture immediately after I cut it, otherwise the wrap starts to loosen and look not-so-appetizing! ๐
this is totally weird craving to me in the winter time…but I’ve been on a big salad kick these days….as in salad for breakfast and lunch
That’s too funny! I am not sure I could stomach a salad in the morning, but I could certainly have one everyday for lunch and dinner!
Almond butter is the perfect oats topper – especially if its really thick!
Lately I’ve been craving mangoes. Now that I can eat them again (as finally my stomach has healed enough to no longer be intolerant to them!) I want mangoes ALL the time. I would eat 5 a day if they weren’t so expensive haha.
The best meal I ate yesterday had to be dessert – which was actually one of the Lightened Up Lamington Cupcakes I posted today. But that said, eating breakfast after a fasted blood test was also pretty delicious. I’m usually someone who eats breakfast at 6am – so when I had to wait til 9am, I pretty much inhaled my breakfast and it tasted ridiculously good haha.
Yes, I love almond butter on my oats! Ooh, I love mangoes, but I have to wait until Summer to have them. I love dried mango from Trader Joe’s, too!

Okay I’m loving every single thing! I love wraps for lunch too. I have to ask – what camera do you use/edit with? Your pictures are so good!

I know, this pregnancy has gone by SO fast! I’m still in denial that we will have two kids in less than a few weeks!
Oh my gosh, SMOOTHIES. I used to hate them. I thought drinking a meal was ridiculous. But I think I just wasn’t making them right, because now I can’t wait to have one every morning! I’m still amazed that you can put handfuls of spinach in them and they don’t taste like spinach ๐
Smoothies are so good, but I just can’t get into them until Spring and Summer when the weather warms up for some reason. Like you said, I LOVE that you can add a ton of spinach without it tasting like it!
Can I come over!? All your eats are totally right up my alley! I have been looking for a new wrap to try! Are those just from the regular store?
I order the wraps directly online from P28 Foods. I haven’t been able to find them in stores around here, unfortunately. But, they are SO worth it to order online! I buy them in bulk and just freeze them.
